Flawlessly Flawed- Album Review
Hi there! My name is Avery Graham and I am sharing a review of Kevin McClure's upcoming album, Flawlessly Flawed. I received early access to the album to listen to it early so that I could give you all the information about this album BEFORE it's release date on July 17th, 2026.
The Review
First things first, Flawlessly Flawed is an incredible album full of BIG moments! It is a collection of songs with an insane amount of relatability to them. As a long time friend of Kevin, I can confidently say that the work he has put into this album has not and will not go unnoticed. This is some of Kevin's best work yet! The album made me feel ALL sorts of ways. From classic, Kevin style rock, to more intimate love songs and songs about life, this album not only made me feel almost every emotion possible, it told a story. It tells the story of life. And I know that's broad, but this record really hits it all. From the very beginning with Cheating Death, all the way to When I Go Down, you won't be disappointed!
This record features many different styles, but Kevin and his band do an incredible job with ALL of them. One of my personal favorites though had to be Mad. As a Pop/Rock artist myself, this song hit both pop and rock very well. It even featured a scream, and I was very presently surprised when I heard it!
There are some high moments, but there are also some moments that feel more intimate. The song "Fight For You" features another friend of mine, Melanie Scheiber. I had known that Kevin and Mel had been working together, but I was excited to see what they cooked up. I've always known Kevin to lean towards the rock side of music, but "Fight For You" is a pop ballad. Melanie has an artist project titled "My Friends Call Me Mel" and it leans on the pop side of music. Hearing Kevin slow things down a bit and have a ballad was really refreshing! And the harmonies on this song go HARD! Kevin and Melanie absolutely CRUSHED this song!
And finally, the title track of this record, "Flawlessly Flawed" feels timeless. It is high-energy, fun, and super nostalgic. It tells the story of how nobody is perfect, and I would even go so far as to say he does so better than Hannah Montana did back in the day! We are all broken people and Kevin does a great job communicating that through the lyrics of this song.
Flawlessly Flawed is a collection of songs I absolutely cannot wait for the world to hear! It will be available on July 17th, 2026 wherever you listen to music. And if you are cool, you will be able to order it on classic, old school vinyl and as a CD as well! I'm awaiting my physical media so patiently, but I cannot wait to hear these songs again!
Extra Info: If you like the album artwork, that was taken by me! I've loved getting to spend time with Kevin during this process of him making the album! I know he's excited to share it with you!
